In exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 116 of the High Court Law, Cap.67 Laws of Kaduna State 1991 (as amended by section 3 of the High Court (Amendment)Law, 2007, and by virtue of all other powers enabling me in that behalf, I, HON. JUSTICE MUHAMMAD TUKUR MU’AZU ALIYU, the Chief judge of Kaduna State of Nigeria, hereby make these Rules:

1. The High Court of Kaduna State (Civil Procedure) Rules 2007 are hereby repealed.
2. The Civil Procedure Rules set out herein shall be the rules of civil procedure in the High Court of Justice of Kaduna State.
3. (1) A reference in these Rules to anything done under these Rules includes a reference to anything done before the commencement of these Rules under any corresponding law or rules of court ceasing to have effect on the commencement of these Rules.

(2) Except where the context otherwise requires, any reference in these Rules to any enactment shall be construed as a reference to that enactment as amended, extended or applied by or under any other enactment.

4. The Forms set out in the Appendix to these Rules shall be used where applicable with such modifications or variations as circumstances of a particular case may require.
5. These Rules may be cited as the High Court of Kaduna State (Civil Procedure) Rules 2025 and shall come into force on the 19th day of January, 2026.
